Distribution Networks

Optimisation of long-distance transports in a postal distribution network

Brief description

Long-distance transports in a postal distribution network are time-critical due to the distance, as they still have to be sorted at the destination. What is needed is a transport schedule to be defined in the intermediate term that selects the appropriate vehicles and chooses the departure and arrival times in such a way that a certain proportion of all shipments can be sorted in time.
